About The Owner

Hello! I’m Shelly Phillips, the owner of Olive Tree Bookkeeping. I am a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Certified Business Profit Consultant and a tax strategist with a management degree from Penn State University. My postgraduate education includes studying and sitting for all parts of the Enrolled Agent exam as well as graduate coursework in the field of accounting at Keller Business School for Management.

After being a professional accountant in corporate America for many years, I chose to start my own firm with one single principle in mind: to provide value-based accounting services from a dedicated professional that you can trust. I have two passions: accounting and helping people. I use these two passions to ensure that business owners and individuals become financially organized so that you can understand your financials and reclaim the time you need to enjoy life. I am truly vested in my clients’ success; it’s not “just about the numbers” to me as I find it a great reward to teaching the fundamentals of accounting and taxation so that my clients understand everything about their finances.

On a personal note, I attribute my success to my faith in Jesus Christ, through whom all things are possible. I was born and raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and in 2005 I relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, I love living in Vegas for the warm weather and dry climate. When not helping my clients with their accounting needs, I enjoy spending time with my husband, volunteering at my church and caring for my godchildren.
